A Double Beauty

Last week I told the story of The Rehabilitated Raptor. It’s a great story, and I hope you read it if you haven’t had the chance yet.

Little Screech, the rehabilitated screech owl lives in a beautiful location, and this is it! We walked down a hidden path along the right side of this beautiful barn. The owl was released with much excitement and it immediately flew back up the trail, past the barn and into a bramble of trees.

We slowly followed the owl back up the path and admired one of the prettiest barns I’ve even seen. We gathered by the parked cars to chat and I just couldn’t keep my eyes off that barn. I pulled my cell phone out of my back pocket and headed back toward the path.

I got in a few shots of the barn and then I noticed the Queen Anne’s Lace. It was the missing piece to a great photo. I crouched down, set up the shot, and held off swatting at the mosquitoes that were attacking me.

The clouds played along and joined the fun, and the lighting was perfect. I was thrilled to capture this beautiful barn in such a scenic location, and I think Little Screech was thrilled to be home; I mean, who wouldn’t want to live here?!

And that, my friends, is how I captured A Double Beauty. (Click to Tweet!)

Until Next Time,

Josie
