We have a reblooming Iris that’s late reblooming

We have a reblooming Iris that’s late reblooming this fall. We’ve been keeping an eye on it and the weather. Yesterday it had several buds, but it hadn’t bloomed yet. Because of freeze warnings, Mom picked it along with a bunch of Zinnias and brought them in so we can enjoy them a little longer. This morning beautiful Iris was opened up wide, smiling at the sunshine. At least four more buds are preparing to open. I’m so glad we saved them from the freeze last night. I just love all the little details of an Iris and how their petals sparkle in the sun. Do you have any late-blooming flowers you’re enjoying this year?

This weekend I read Autumn by the Sea. Reading a @melissatagg book is like coming home. I forget I’m reading a book and feel like I’m part of the story. This Autumn by the Sea has one of the best meet cutes I’ve ever read. Hilarious and so wonderfully awkward! (A meet cute is that scene in a book or movie where the guy and the girl who will fall in love meet for the first time.) I loved the mystery in this book and I love that there’s a bigger mystery that will take three books to solve. I cannot wait to read the second book in the series! If you’ve never read a Melissa Tagg book, this is a great one to start with!

P.S. (Melissa, I think in your next series the female lead should be the one obsessed with flannel! Unless you did that already, I have a few books to catch up on yet.)
