Today we went to not one, but two orchards. It was so much fun! The weather was gorgeous and we got all the fall things. Because of the weather this year, there are apple shortages so we went earlier than we usually do were able to get the apples we wanted for making applesauce. 50 pounds of them! I wasn’t sure we were going to get to do all the fun fall things this year with everything going on, but God gave us a beautiful and fun day! Do you have apple orchards where you live?

I love photographs of a Wisconsin bluff filled with colorful trees or a forest decorated in golden leaves. I like to be overwhelmed by a beautiful scene. But sometimes beauty is in the details, the small things of life. This single leaf caught my eye this week. It’s small and vibrant and the more you look at it, the more details you notice. One thing I notice is that this beautiful leaf is laying on a road filled with dirt and debris, but that doesn’t take away from its beauty. There’s a life lesson in there I think.
