The Journey
It’s Contest Time!
This week I want you to tell me a story. Use as many or as few words as you want, as long as your story is between 1 and 1,000 words. Is less more or are more words better? You’ll have to decide!
The theme for your short story is The Journey. Use the photograph above for inspiration – bonus points for including the scene in your story. Because this blog is all about sharing God’s gifts of beauty, hope, and adventure make sure your story includes at least one of those concepts.
The winner will be announced on Friday, April 7th and will win an 8×10 photograph and maybe a little something extra!
Here’s what you need to know:
What: 1,000 word or less short story*
Theme: The Journey
Include: God’s gift of beauty, hope, and/or adventure in your story
Deadline: Monday, April 3, 2017 @ Noon (CST)
How: If you share the story on your own blog, just post a link to the story in the comments section of this post. If you don’t have a blog, you can email your story to josie@josiesiler.com or send it to me in a message on Facebook.
*The winning story will be chosen at my discretion. Family and friends are encouraged to submit a story. The winning story is subject to minor editing if needed. You retain all rights to your story. By entering the contest you are giving me permission to share your short story here and on social media.
I’ll announce the winner April 7th on my Facebook Page. I’ll also share the winning story with my readers right here on my website. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. Happy writing!
