Not all stories are exciting or extravagant. So is the case with today’s story. It’s a simple story of great beauty.
It was the last day of July and it was hot. Some of the prettiest flowers bloom in full sun at the height of summer. No matter the heat, I just can’t seem to keep myself out of my mom’s beautiful flower gardens!
This day was no different. I started out photographing flowers, and probably some dragonflies or butterflies, in the south garden that runs along the driveway. I worked my way into the shade garden for a little relief from the sun, but soon found myself in the sun garden at the end of the house.
It was here where I found this little beauty. She was small and delicate with what looked like blueberry sugar crystals holding together her perfect, soft petals. She was beautiful! I braved the midday sun for a few photos before heading into the house for a cool drink of water.
The soft look of this photograph perfectly captured this delicate little beauty. And that, my friends, is the story of how I captured The Delicate Flower. (Click to Tweet!)
Until next time,
Josie

February 4, 2017 at 12:39 pmWhat a beautiful picture! Your post brought something to my mind. “Some of the prettiest flowers bloom in full sun at the hight of summer.” We are much like that too. Many times much of our growth occurs when the heat in our lives is turned up and we must then rely on the “son” of God.
